Administrative Team

President
Matheus Mendes
DPhil in Law
Matheus represents the GCR and is the principal liaison between the College and the students' community. He sits on the Governing Body of the College and is a full member of the Management Executive Team.

Chair
Jan Huebel
MPhil in Development Studies
Jan, in his capacity as Chair, has an impartial role. He chairs Executive Board, Committee and GCR General meetings; ensures the smooth progress of their works by enforcing the Constitution and the other GCR rules and moderates the discussion; ensures the GCR serves the St Antony’s community according to its constitutional mandate.

Treasurer
Prachet Parajnoy
MPhil in Modern South Asian Studies
Prachet oversees the GCR’s finances and performs other financial functions outlined in the Constitution and the By-Laws.

Secretary
Mari Managadze
MSc in Social Science of the Internet
Mari assists the President in managing the day-to-day affairs of the GCR and promotes effective coordination and organisation within the Committee. She is in charge of GCR communications and keeps students updated with College life.
Academic Team

Vice President for Academic Affairs
Aarushi Shekhar
MSc in Modern South Asian Studies
Aarushi leads the Academic Team together with the other Vice President for Academic Affairs. This entails organising lectures and seminars during the term, organising events to allow students to showcase their academic work, supporting students who seek to organise conferences, and liaising between the faculty, administration and GCR community on academic matters.

Johannes Haekkerup
MPhil in European Politics and Society

Johannes leads the Academic Team together with the other Vice President for Academic Affairs. This entails organising lectures and seminars during the term, organising events to allow students to showcase their academic work, supporting students who seek to organise conferences, and liaising between the faculty, administration and GCR community on academic matters.

Arjun Varanasi

In liaison with the Vice Presidents for EDI Affairs, Arjun organises BME events in College and offers support to GCR Members who identify as BME.

Culture and Faith Officer
Prachet Paranjoy
MPhil in Modern South Asian Studies
In liaison with the Vice Presidents for EDI Affairs, Ruihan organises activities and events related to the different cultures and religions of the GCR Members. He is responsible for ensuring that the cultural diversity of the GCR is celebrated.

Disability Inclusion Officer
Michelle Wei
MSc in Forced Migration and Refugee Studies
In liaison with the Vice Presidents for EDI Affairs, Michelle leads initiatives to make the College more inclusive for GCR Members with disabilities. They represent in the Committee the interests of GCR Members who identify as disabled.

LGBTQ+ Officer
Abril Soewarso-Rivera
MSc in Migration Studies
In liaison with the Vice Presidents for EDI Affairs, Abril plans events and leads initiatives to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues and foster inclusion at St. Antony’s College. He represents in the Committee the interests of GCR Members who identify as LGBTQ+.
Social Team

Vice President for Social Affairs
Reesey du Pont
MSc in Forced Migration and Refugee Studies
Reesey, as First-Vice President, temporarily assumes the President’s duties if the President is unable to fulfill them. He leads the Social Team together with the other Vice President for Social Affairs. This entails overseeing social events and planning the Welcome Week.

Social Media and Website Officer
Riti Bhattacharyya

Riti liaises with the Secretary and the Vice Presidents to manage GCR social media platforms, administering and moderating the GCR Facebook group and publicising GCR events on social media. She liaises with the Secretary to manage the GCR website.

Kim coordinates the activities of the various GCR Sports Clubs, organises Yoga and Meditation classes, and manages gym-related matters.
